Abstract
Many investors associate emerging markets with volatility and turmoil, if great potential. Companies in emerging markets are generally of two types: globally competitive companies with large market capitalization, and companies that have yet to make their debut in the global marketplace. This article looks at the characteristics of each type with regard to their particular prospects for investors.
